Our history

History of the EIFM

Establishing an educational institution that would provide practical and effective teaching with the opportunity to study around the world was the driving force behind the two founders of the European Institute of Finance & Management. Today, our educational institution has more than 30 years of tradition, during which time it has enabled over 20,000 students from all over the world to develop their talents and acquire the knowledge and skills that now make them part of the senior management of the largest global corporations.

The complete learning system is tailored to current issues in the global economy and, above all, our expert lecturers and tutors create a stimulating environment for our students to develop their skills, leadership and decision-making.

1987

Establishment of the Institute

The year the first students entered our campus. We began teaching full-time MBA programmes, enabling the first prospective students to further their education in postgraduate form.
1994

First MBA programme

This year, we opened our first MBA distance learning programmes. We realised that everyone's time is limited and therefore needs to be managed efficiently.
2001

Extension of accreditation to DBA and MIM programmes

The growing interest in postgraduate education has been accompanied by interest in educational programmes other than the MBA. So for several years we have been working on the creation of educational blocks that would relate to both the DBA and the MiM.
2019

Start of online learning

2019 has brought big changes. More than 30 years ago, the founders had a goal of making education as accessible as possible to all students around the world.

History of the EIFM

1987

The year the first students entered our campus. We began teaching full-time MBA programmes, enabling the first prospective students to further their education in postgraduate form.

1994

This year, we opened our first MBA distance learning programmes. We realised that everyone’s time is limited and therefore needs to be managed efficiently. For many of our students, we opened up a new study option that allowed them to combine their workload with developing their acquired skills and to pursue both work and study at the same time.

2001

The growing interest in postgraduate education has been accompanied by interest in educational programmes other than the MBA. So we have been working for several years to create educational blocks that would apply to both the DBA and the MiM. We have not only expanded our base of expert lecturers, but we have also acquired newly accredited programmes and thus expanded our educational opportunities.

2019

2019 has brought big changes. More than 30 years ago, the founders had a goal of making education as accessible as possible to all students around the world. Our long-standing efforts in this direction culminated this year when we were able to accredit all of the degree programmes we offer in distance learning. As of 2019, students from all over the world can apply to study with us without having to travel for their studies, and we have since created a network with graduates from more than 100 countries.
