Philippe Albert
From 1985 to 1997 Philippe worked at the tax office as an (assistant) corporate tax inspector. He obtained his doctorate in 1995 and since 1997 he has been director of Bureau Vaktechniek Belastingadviseurs, a tax consultancy.
Kerstin Alfes
She has 20 years of experience in executive education, consulting and European projects. She has won awards for teaching and research excellence and the Human Resource Management Innovation Award for a non-profit initiative against graduate unemployment.
Fabio Ancarani
He completed an international teacher training programme (at the Stockholm School of Economics. He worked as an assistant professor and associate professor at Bocconi University. He teaches courses in marketing management, strategic marketing, pricing and customer value management, and marketing metrics and performance. His research focuses primarily on strategic marketing, customer value analysis and measurement, pricing and value management.
Martin Artz
He is an associate professor in management accounting and control. His research focuses on topics such as goal setting and budgeting, performance measurement and incentives, and organizational design, particularly in customer-focused organizations. He has published articles in major academic journals such as Accounting, Organizations and Society, Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Marketing Research. For his dissertation on managerial control in marketing and sales, he was awarded the Péter Horváth Prize for Management Accounting.
Selin Atalay
She has worked as an associate professor of marketing at HEC Paris and assistant professor at Bilkent University. She received her PhD in marketing from Penn State University. Her research interests are mainly focused on consumer decision-making processes. She is most interested in the influence of affect on consumer decision making, as well as visual attention, retail shelf positioning, self-giving behavior, and social exclusion.
Carlo d'Augusta
He studied accounting, where he directs all his professional interests. His research focuses on financial reporting. Specifically, he is interested in how the characteristics of financial information affect capital markets and investor responses to financial disclosures, and how different types of disclosures may interact with users of information.
Kostas Axarloglou
He is engaged in research and consulting in the field of international trade (foreign direct investment), strategy (option theory) and pricing. His research has been published in leading management and economics journals such as Management Science, Journal of Business, Journal of the European Economic Association, World Economy and Managerial and Decision Economics. He has received several research grants and has also participated in a number of international conferences.
Emanuele Bajo
Emanuele Bajo is a professor of finance and also director of the Master in Finance and Fintech. Previously, he has been at Johns Hopkins University, San Diego State University, Visiting Research Fellow at Boston College, and Visiting Professor at the University of Queensland. His research interests and main publications are in IPOs, household finance and financial risk management.
Diederich Bakker
He studied business administration, international management, and earned a doctorate in marketing. His professional background is in marketing communications and market research. He has worked in the USA, Australia, Germany, France and the Netherlands. His personal research interests focus on international business, small and medium-sized enterprises, market entry strategies, private label branding and Asian branding strategies.
Michal Bauer
He is a PhD student in economics. His current research focuses on economic development in poor countries, individual decision-making and experimental economics. His articles have been published in journals such as European Economic Review, Nature Human Behaviour and Economic Journal.
Bart Berden
In 2004 he became a member of the Executive Board of St. Elisabeth Hospital in Tilburg. He is a medical doctor and business management expert and has worked in the healthcare sector for twenty years, seven of which as a director. He has worked as a physician in frontline g.p. care and as director of the St. Radboud University Medical Center. For his innovations in hospital policy, Professor Berden was voted Healthcare Influencer of the Year by the Strategy Healthcare platform in 2010. He sits on (chairs) several boards of directors of care organisations.
Tobias Berg
He works in financial intermediation and corporate finance, focusing on risk management, bank regulation and the real-world impact of financial intermediation. He has published his research in leading international journals such as the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and has presented at conferences such as AFA, WFA, and EFA.
Jérémie Bertrand
He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the National Technical University of Athens and an MSc in Control Systems and a PhD in Quantitative Finance from Imperial College London. He has significant work experience at Natwest Markets and Royal Bank of Scotland in London, where he held senior positions in trading, risk management, financial engineering, structuring and alternative investments. His main research interests are derivatives, credit risk and asset pricing involving dynamic trading strategies.
Albert Bifet
His main research interest is learning from data streams. He started his career at Huawei, then worked at Yahoo! Research, University of Waikato and UPC BarcelonaTech. He is the author of Adaptive Stream Mining and Pattern Learning and Mining from Evolving Data Streams.
Olof Bik
Olof is involved in behavioural audit research, the study of auditors' professional behaviour and its determinants, focusing on personal, institutional and cultural factors in relation to audit quality assurance in the corporate reporting and assurance supply chain. Since auditing is largely about the professional behaviour of the auditors who actually perform audits and the factors that influence that behaviour, it is the behaviour of auditors that determines the quality of the audit - and ultimately the quality of the business information on which the capital markets, stakeholders and society as a whole base their business decisions.
Koen De Bock
He studied marketing analysis in Ghent, which he followed up with a PhD in applied economics. He has been involved in several studies on target marketing in relation to consumer behaviour. He is currently an expert consultant at several universities in France.
Camilla van den Boom
He has more than 20 years of experience in strategy development, implementation and organizational (re)design in large and medium-sized companies. Camilla has worked as a management consultant for Accenture, Andersen and Deloitte, helping clients define business strategies, innovative business models and agile organizations. She leads sturrm, a strategy consulting firm that helps clients create future-proof business strategies and agile organizations by conducting research on the future.
Jean-Philippe Bouilloud
He holds a PhD in Sociology and is currently a professor in the Department of Strategy, Organizational Behavior and Human Resources at the University of Paris. He also holds a habilitation for research management (HDR) and has worked for several years in banking and consulting. His domains of expertise and main publications concern the sociology of scientific knowledge and the sociology of money. He has written extensively on the links between the personal lives and intellectual production of social scientists.
Ries Breijer
He is a PhD student at the Centre for Corporate Reporting, Finance and Tax. After completing his pre-university studies, he started working in an accounting firm and completed a distance learning (Bachelor and Master) accounting course in Nyenrode. In addition to his doctoral research in non-financial and financial reporting, he conducts master theses and participates in master courses in accounting.
Gerrit van Bruggen
His main research interests are strategic marketing issues and the impact of information technology and information systems on marketing strategy and decision making. His research has been published in leading scholarly journals in the field such as Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Management Science, MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and Interfaces. He regularly presents at international management conferences and is an experienced executive-level educator.
Frantisek Cech
He holds a PhD in economics and during his studies he also visited the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses primarily on asset pricing, financial econometrics and financial market analysis.
Gilles Certhoux
Expert in digital marketing, communications and behavioural marketing. He focuses his practice on specific consumer behaviours in certain economic phases and on marketing market analysis. He gained his experience through many years as a marketing director in one of the largest multinational corporations and has been a professor at the University of Limoges since 2018.
Jean-Marc Charlot
Expert in information technology and software solutions. He earned his PhD from the University of Canada and has been developing his career and professional knowledge at companies such as Microsoft, IBM and Hewlett-Packard since 2001.
Claire Champenois
She has a postgraduate degree in Fashion Business Management. She has extensive experience in brand development not only locally but also internationally. Starting as a manager of small projects, she is currently the manager of an entire international group of brands and is responsible for the entire segment of affordable luxury wines in the French market.
Özlem Bedre-Defolie
Özlem is interested in applied microeconomic theory and industrial organization. He focuses on the economics of multiparty platforms, multi-product firms and vertical contracts, with a focus on antitrust and regulatory issues. Her research has been published in leading journals in economics, marketing, and industrial organization.
Alexia Delfino
A graduate in psychology, she has published in scientific journals such as Journal of Applied Psychology, Human Relations, European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Occupational Health, etc. She has published four books and is the editor of a series of case studies in the field of human resources, which aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
Konstantinos Drakos
He holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Athens, an MSc in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of Essex, UK, and a PhD in Management Science from AUEB. His research interests include management science and operations research methods in logistics planning, emergency logistics, hazardous materials transportation, air traffic management and flexible transportation systems.
Birgit Dulski
She is currently working as a researcher and her research focuses on increasing the sustainability of existing neighbourhoods and cultural entrepreneurship in historic buildings. She studied architecture in Germany and the Netherlands and combines her work as a researcher with her work as a consultant at NIBE (Netherlands Institute for Building Biology and Ecology).
Frank Ecker
He holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the Berufsakademie Mannheim and an M.B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Trier. Prior to his postgraduate studies, he worked for Deutsche Bank AG and DGZ Dekabank Luxembourg S.A. Before joining the Frankfurt School, Frank Ecker was an assistant professor at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Deniz Erdemlioglu
He is a C-level executive who has worked in finance and technology since 1991. He has experience in business development, growth and expansion and has worked closely with some of the legends of both industries in Greece. In guiding the growth of three different asset management start-ups, he has helped them cross the €100 million mark in assets under management, a rare record. His focus in technology is on combining it with finance, strategy, M&A, team building and organizational strength.
Adam Gersl
He holds a PhD in risk management and a master's degree in banking and financial management He has previously worked as a researcher and postdoctoral fellow in academia and as a financial analyst in industry. His research has been published in highly ranked journals in finance and marine economics. His main areas of research include the measurement of market risk, the microstructure of derivatives markets, the economics of shipping, and emerging market finance. He has taught a number of graduate and undergraduate level courses on finance.
Lucia Gibilaro
She holds a bachelor's and master's degree in business engineering and a doctorate in applied economics. She currently coordinates and teaches two management courses at and is a member of the global PPRN network. She has worked as a project manager on several research and consulting projects that require a multidisciplinary (integration of technical, economic and environmental criteria) approach.
Michał Grajek
In addition to teaching and academic research, he worked as a research consultant for E.CA Economics in Berlin, where he provided expertise in applied econometrics for consulting and research projects on competition policy issues. From January 2013 to December 2016, he also served as Research Director. He currently teaches MBA, EMBA and MIM courses focusing on microeconomics and global economics as well as corporate economics.
Enkelejda Havari
She holds a PhD in statistics and managerial economics. She has lectured at many universities in Greece, Spain and France. Her research interests include equity, bond and derivative pricing, financial mathematics, computational finance, financial econometrics and corporate financial management.
Zuzana Havrankova
She holds a doctorate in organizational behavior, a master's degree in human resource management and a bachelor's degree in business administration. Her research interests focus on recruitment and selection and job search, as well as the use of gamification in employee selection.
Nikolaos Karampinis
He holds a doctorate in accounting and a master's degree in business administration. His research and teaching interests focus on tax accounting, international financial reporting standards and the use of management accounting for strategic purposes. He has published his research in various academic journals and presented at international conferences.
Kristiaan Kerstens
He is Professor of Finance in the Department of Accounting and Finance and a member of the Board of Directors of the Capital Market Commission. He holds a PhD in Finance and an MSc in Corporate Finance from Brunel University (UK). He has held academic positions as a lecturer at the University of Durham and Middlesex University Business School. His research interests include asset pricing and investor behaviour. He has published more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed academic journals.
Konstantin Korotov
Konstantin's research interests include executive development, executive coaching, career and leadership education. He has authored, co-authored and co-edited seven books and numerous academic and practitioner articles, business cases and book chapters on leadership development and executive coaching. He has won several awards for his case studies, articles and teaching excellence.
Ana Lehmann
She is a visiting professor at several foreign universities and a member of the board of the European Academy of International Business, of which she was president. She holds a Master's degree and a PhD, and is a postdoctoral fellow specialising in internationalisation and foreign direct investment. She has given numerous presentations at major conferences, is an associate editor (strategy and international management) of international scientific publications and has authored dozens of articles and scientific books at international level. In the last two decades she has worked as a consultant for leading international institutions (OECD, UNCTAD), governmental entities, other organizations and companies.
Charalampos Mainemelis
From 2001 to 2009, he was an assistant professor at the London Business School. His research focuses on creativity and its relationships with leadership, learning, play, time and deviance. His research has been widely publicised in the popular press, including the Financial Times, Sunday Times, Forbes and Kathimerini. He is also the recipient of an Academy of Management Review award.
Ana Marques
She graduated in economics and started her career in marketing at Procter & Gamble. She is currently the Managing Director of NOS SGPS. Previously, she was the Director of Marketing and Sales for the Mobile Business Unit. During her tenure, she held the positions of Director of Brand and Communications and Director of Data Business Unit.
Gianluca Mattarocci
He is an associate professor of banking and corporate finance. He is currently the Director of the Master's degree in Finance. He has also published several articles and books on asset management, corporate finance, credit risk management and real estate.
Paolo Mazza
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, an MBA and a PhD in Accounting from the same university and has extensive experience in teaching management accounting, financial accounting and accounting information systems at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels. His research interests are in the area of intellectual capital and management accounting and the relationship of intangible assets to cost structure, operating performance and market valuation.
Ana Mendes
She studied marketing at IADE, postgraduate studies in digital marketing (IPAM) and relationship marketing (ISCTE) and law (Catholic University of Lisbon). She specialized in Facebook marketing in the US and the UK. She worked for ten years in retail marketing in renowned multinational companies. For the past 7 years, she has been a consultant to companies on social media presence strategy.
Maximilian A. Müller
As an associate professor of accounting, he strives to help students and managers increase their financial literacy. He has served on the faculty of WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management and as a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has published several research papers in leading finance and accounting journals focusing on disclosure (regulation) and taxation in capital markets and enjoys contributing his expertise to practice, such as advising a quantitative asset management company.
Angeliki Papachroni
She studied business administration and management and from an early age it was clear that she had a passion for marketing, which she focused on in her postgraduate and master's studies. After more than a decade of experience and specializing in strategy and loyalty programs, she considers herself lucky that she continues to enjoy her work so much every day.
Felix Reimann
Prior to his academic career he worked as a consultant in the Frankfurt office of McKinsey & Company from 2004-2009. He is regularly involved in training, consulting and research projects with major corporations. He is also a member of an industry working group that brings together strategy leaders from companies such as Bosch, BP, Daimler, Deutsche Telekom and Siemens to discuss the latest business trends and challenges.
Hajo Reijers
He is a professor of business informatics. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, an M.Sc. in Computer Science and an M.Sc. in Technology and Society (cum laude). He wrote his doctoral thesis while working as a manager at Deloitte. As a consultant, he has been involved in various reengineering projects and workflow system implementations, especially for government agencies and financial services organizations. In recent years, he also led the business process management research and development group at Lexmark.
Margot Schumacher
Margot has a strong passion for people, leadership and organisational development and helping top teams and boards to improve. Her global experience gives her a deep understanding of different cultural environments and cross-cultural challenges. She is currently an executive development practitioner and experienced coach who helps executives grow professionally and personally in international environments.
Martin Smits
He holds a doctorate in medicine and master's degrees in information management and management information systems. He is currently an associate professor of information systems and management and an independent consultant in information and business process management.
Abílio Sousa
He graduated in economics from the Institute of Economics and Management and until 2012 worked in the central services of the Tax and Customs Office as head of the corporate income tax settlement department. He is currently working as a trainer and business consultant. He is a trainer for several institutions, manages and coordinates the entire scientific and teaching component of the training activities and is the author of a number of articles on taxes and training manuals.
Sarka Zapletalova
She is a PhD candidate in economics. Her research interests include international mobility of factors of production; optimal trade policy under variable factor supplies and various forms of trade restrictions; indirect tax reforms; trade and factor tax policy with public goods and public inputs; preferential trade agreements; foreign aid and environmental issues in international trade.
